Up until last week it was go-go-go with work commitments, having a horrible cold (I hate winter- I’ve even had the flu injection from work but that apparently makes no difference if you have a rare strain of the stupid thing), having an International guest and then finally going on a little city-break to Melbourne!
Work has been much the same. Busy, entertaining and ever-changing. Soon, I’ll be learning how to work at the International Terminal. Which means it’s back to the books, with classroom training, a week of buddy training and also being taught how to drive an air bridge, having an airside driver’s licence and wearing steel capped boots. I can’t wait! 😉 Anyone who knows me well knows that parking is not one of my strong suits…we shall see!
We had been doing lots of “touristy” things around home as my long-lost host sister from Italy, Francesca, had come to visit. She’d been staying in Sydney and came on her way home. I hadn’t seen her for almost 3 years (since my last layover in Milan!!) so it was a bit of a blast from the past to see her again! We did lots of walking, talking and eating (my favourite things!) All the while I was still at work, with “mornings” (a 3:45am sign on that could end anywhere between midmorning to midday!) so I was a bit of a grumpy zombie on some days! Sorry Francesca!
James and I then enjoyed a short little break in Melbourne 🙂 That will appear separately as there is far too much deliciousness for one post! Now it’ s back to work, back to normal and back to eating less (and moving more!)
Everyone seems to be on leave- safe and happy Summer travels for those in the Northern parts of the world…and cool and chilly ones for those below the equator! x
