A few of you may have noticed when the blog goes more quiet than usual I am probably busy flying off somewhere….possibly somewhere far away…somewhere like Perth! The scheduling Gods made some changes and I was taken off my Rome (sorry Francesca 😦 ) and put onto a Perth flight last weekend. As per usual, I was the only chirpy crew member at 1am as whilst everyone else was rousing themselves from a deep slumber, I was busy packing all of my wares from around the world to bring home to my fan club (my mum and James, unfortunately my dad was in Sydney and our paths didn’t cross). The flight was smooth, long and I was kept busy enough to ensure I didn’t think about home tooooo much! Ok, I lied, I was very excited, but still! After we landed, my mum and Glenn picked me up from the airport, we went to the hotel, picked up my allowance, changed and then headed out for drinks with James nearby the hotel, at a new place called Public House. After a few mojitos and daiquiris, James took me to a surprise dinner at Miss Kitty’s Saloon, in Inglewood. It was a really cool bar that was set out like an old Western movie. I must admit, Perth is getting cooler! We dined on poutine (James’ new favourite naughty food since he came back from Canada), a New York skirt steak, Octopus and Chorizo salad and my personal favourite, chilli mac and cheese. YUM!

Strawberry Mojitos + Photobombing!

The next day we went for breakfast at our favourite spot on West Coast Highway, Voyage Kitchen. I had a breakfast board with Bacon and James Norma’s Salsa. We always try to recreate it, with no such luck! Anyway, the view is better at Voyage and that day was no exception! I also got to see the giant Elephant seal that visited the beach again! The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing, seeing family and enjoying each other’s company for the short time that we had together. It was bliss! Here are some pictures of our little “stay-cation”. I was so lucky to come home again and this just makes me even more excited for my leave in May where I will have (at least) 5 days at home! YAY! Our new roster comes out soon…..soooo impatiently waiting so I can book my flights home!!! Gah!! More about my layover in Malta on its way soon! xx
