Family Festivities

Unfortunately due to my hectic schedule of packing, going out for farewell meals and having naps (after being overwhelmed from all the strenuous packing and constant delicious meals) I have been a bit delayed in my blogging! The events of the last week have included finishing the last exam of my Undergraduate degree, welcoming loved ones into the country again, shopping, (did I say packing?) , leisurely walks and meals with friends, getting my nails done and of course attending numerous family events with both sides of my extended family.I am so lucky to have been blessed with such an amazing group of people in my life. It sounds a bit clichéd, but I would not be the person that I am today without the love and guidance of my family and friends, and in particular my parents! Words can’t really describe how inspirational their unwavering love and support is. I am so thankful for the way they have raised me 🙂  Thank you to everyone who came on the weekend, for your gorgeous gifts and kind words. I know that this experience will be enriched through all of the support I have at home in Perth, and that I will be able to be strong in Dubai when the emotions hit! I will also have to come home one day because there are way to many awesome people in our little corner of the world 😉

I received some very cool gifts including a lovely Tiffany and Co ring from my “other half” Alyssa that features the infinity symbol. Aly has one too, so we can both wear it and think of our great friendship! It also meets the uniform requirements so I can’t ask for much more! Cheers for that Aly! I also now have lots more sentimental trinkets and a great book from an Aunty that knows me too well! As I mentioned before, eating has occupied most of my time and I am looking forward to lots of exercise tomorrow and when I start Training College! I had a few great meals including Danish Roast Pork, a Greek feast, Pandam Malay Coconut Pancakes (that were GREEN!), “Norma’s” Salsa, Roast Chicken and a famous waffle cone with Caramel Sauce…and that was just today! (I’m joking!) But I have been eating lots 😉 Here is my life in pictures recently. Tomorrow I am going to write a post about packing and preparation (something I think I am quite good at!)
